Promo Codes: Where and When to Enter Them
A promo code is the simplest element of any offer and the one that most often goes wrong. The fault usually lies not in the code but in the timing: most codes work only before a payment is confirmed, and afterwards there is nowhere left to put them. This page covers where the field lives, the order the steps have to follow, and what to do when a code is rejected.
Open the operator's cashierTwo places the field appears
The first is the account opening form. A code is requested there when the campaign is tied to registration, and the field is not shown again later. The second is the deposit window in the cashier: the code goes in beside the amount before confirmation, and the offer appears next to it immediately, so it can be seen to apply before the payment is sent. If the code is valid, the bonus figure in the window changes; if nothing changes, the code has not applied.
The right order
- Read the campaign name and terms on the promotions page.
- Open the cashier and choose a payment method.
- Enter an amount that meets the campaign minimum.
- Type the code into its field and check that the offer appeared in the window.
- Confirm the payment only after the offer is visible.
Why a code fails
| Symptom | Most likely cause |
|---|---|
| Rejected immediately | The campaign has ended or the code belongs to another market |
| Accepted, but no bonus arrives | The deposit fell below the campaign minimum |
| The field is missing entirely | The offer applies automatically and needs no code |
| It worked for someone else, not for you | The offer is one-off or tied to account status |
| It fails on a second attempt | One code normally covers one deposit |
A mistimed code costs days
When the payment has already gone through and the code was never entered, what follows is usually a support conversation. Some cases are settled manually, but that takes one to three working days and the answer may be no — retroactive crediting is an exception, not an entitlement. In practice three seconds saved before confirmation turn into several days of waiting afterwards. The fastest route is therefore the slow one: check the window once before pressing confirm.
New account: code first, bonus after verification
A code entered at registration is stored against the account, but the bonus itself often appears only after identification. In Estonia that runs through an ID card, Mobile-ID or Smart-ID and takes the player minutes, while the operator's review can stretch to hours. During the gap it looks as though the code failed, and the temptation is to enter it again. A second attempt does not help and occasionally creates confusion, because one code usually works once. Waiting for verification to finish and then checking the account is the better move.
Where codes legitimately come from
- The operator's own promotions page and cashier window, where the campaign is named.
- Account emails and notifications, when the player has opted into them.
- Partner channels, where the code is tied to a specific link.
A code that asks for a fee, an account password or a one-time code before activation is not a campaign. No genuine offer requests payment or account access in advance.
A code does not change the terms
The most common misconception is that a code improves an offer. A code is only a key that opens the campaign — the multiplier, the deadline, the stake ceiling and the cashout limit stay exactly as written. Those four figures are worth reading before the code goes in, and they are explained on the bonus terms page.
